2Bans' ROOTS HIP HOP
Interview with Savage March 04
1. What is your inspiration?
Inspiration: Kintu
and Nambi, these are the human beings(1) from which all Bantu spring from in the region of my origin. In fact they are the
human beings that exist in all of us Bantu of this region and are brother and sister to all other Bantu(2) in any region of
the planet.
2. What explains the fact that you are still unknown to the Ugandan population in the U.K let alone in
Uganda despite your being Ugandan?
Ugandan: The only way to be recognised as anything especially when in a foreign
domain, is to bring forth the attributes of the domain you come from. I tend to rely on the fact that I am Uganda, meaning
that the dynamic illustrated manifestation of the life that we life is constantly displayed. Whereby, every Ugandan is fused
with intellectual capacity and guided by clear historical participation, unfortunately however, the strain of being a native
and yet retaining suppossed 'human dignity' is suffocated in this momentary modern world. Consequently the speaking of the
languages or appearances of affiliates from that region doesn't exactly pronounce the Ugandaness one may or may not be. The
mannerisms of they that are origin of the region that I come from are somewhat unclear on a world stage. To associate then
with that which Kintu and Nambi
would not recognise, doesn't particularly promote me towards their countenance as their
grandson or potential incarnation or living embodiment.
My pursuit as from the lineage I come from is to be known by Bantu
that is who I am known by.
3. Who do you work with?
2Ban works with 2Ban. The work undertaken requires unity(3),
and yet without the perception of unity being grasped by the participant requiring the rewards of it, the concept remains
at best a figment of imagination. So 2Ban finds it refreshing to cultivate and indeed illustrate 2Ban's unity with 2Ban and
as a living entity 2Ban.
From this point of manifested perception 2Ban comes forth. There are three more integral members
that are participants of the work 2Ban has undertaken. But it is more relevant to observe that they follow the same principal
of their self unitedness before selling the idea of unity to any other entity.
4. Who produces your music?
Production:
2Ban produces 2Ban for Ban2 label. 2Ban is an acronym for many other things but importantly is 2 Be A Nubian and in that guise
2 ban has Bantu to promote. In our perception 'Bantu' is literally understood as 'people', 'human beings. So 2Ban produces
2Ban for the peoples, 'human beings' label. Those then that are not of people have the burden in the perception as far as
2ban and Ban2 label are projected to the people(human beings).
5. Is there any Ugandan artist you would be honoured
to work with?
The impression Kintu and Nambi have impressed on me as a Bantu Baganda, is a clear imprint of the artists
from Uganda i am very honoured to be working with them in all moments of this existence borrowed from their countenance. Only
if I can continue with my tollerance for their mannerisms and wisdoms, can their honour (4) truelly shine through for a clear
illustrated testimony of 'Bantu'
6. How come there seems to be an absence of other people on your projects, especially
females?
Absence of others: To be united is to capture the completeness of variety and infinite variations thereof.
To be united is an experience of individual perception.
If one is for all and all for one, then all 2Ban is illustrating
is the realisation of this living motions manefestation. It is an absolute honour 2 be a Nubian representative of 'Bantu'
and the depths of their generations thereof. It can only serve to strengthen the resolute(5) of Bantu.
7. What exactly
is ROOTS HIP HOP?
ROOTS HIP HOP: Smash Mouth Education. Reinstating human history. Confirmation that human beings are
alive and still intent on staying alive through the testiment(6)
of their human participations.
This combined with any
compilation of sound as 2Ban deems fit, is the full formula that is now known as 2bans' Roots Hip Hop from Ban2 Label for
Bantu populations.
8. When and where was it started?
Roots Hip Hop was started from my region of origin Lower
NUBIA(Uganda), and was imbedded in Bantu, for some form of diversion(7) or another, however the musical participation of it's
rewards
thereof was abandoned until the day I was born. Then it has been a matter of remaining concentrated in the ways of Kintu and
Nambi to facilitate the development of Bantu in me until I became of age at 27 years old and Roots Hip Hop was once again
available for Bantu masses.
9. What kind of music were you doing before you started 2bans' Roots Hip Hop?
I've
never been in any form of music, up until 2002 when I turned 27, that's when I awoke to Roots Hip Hop. That is my only initiation
with musical participation.
10. What other artists are doing 2bans' Roots Hip Hop?
Other artists: 2bans' Roots
Hip Hop is recognised by Bantu as it serves the bridge of sanity(8) that bantu are so desperately craving. From 2Ban's perception
of observation, only 2Ban is serving 2bans' Roots Hip Hop to Bantu universally, all other artists are 'promoting'(9) that
which makes Bantu have to endure some strain on their living conditions.
The emphasis of 2bans' Roots Hip Hop is to serve
Bantu and their collective interests by activating the re-incarnated or living embodiment of they that are Bantu, in my case
'Kintu'.
11. What would you consider to be your biggest acheivement so far?
Achievements: The discipline that
has been cultivated in 2Ban, despite the unbearable realities of the world 2Ban lives in. The humaness that is expressed by
2Ban as a testimony that Bantu are alive.
12. What are your plans for the future?
Rock the world. Return the
civilised back to the ways of the wild(10). Make every walk straight being face the mirror, as best as my energy and effort
is afforded me by Kintu and Nambi for Bantu.
13. You sound bitter about the white man and I get a feeling that you
beleive he is to blame for all the black mans problems, is that so? and what makes you think so?
Bitter: There is no
such thing as a whiteman, but the concept of white is an abberation to lead the uneducated to hypothesis about, clear, pure,
light and all things thus of imaginary brilliance. This is not consistent with human beings. There is no such thing as blackman,
but the concept is an abhoration to lead the uneducated to hypothesis
about darkness, dirty, evil, corrupt and all things
thus of imaginary lowliness. Again this is not consistent with human beings.
Bitterness is to perhaps show some approach
of mentality that unaccepting of a situation of circumstance.
Blame: is to assert responsibility away from oneself.
Problems:
is a difficult matter that needs solutions.
The full understanding 2Ban offers Bantu, is that which illustrates dissapiontment
in Bantu for continually allowing they that are not Bantu to usurp their birthrite and degrade them to the confined mentality
and existence thereof, that is not consistent with being the Bantu that they claim they are.
Either way, Bantu need to
understand that the mannerisms and characteristics of Bantu are universally reknowned through testimony documented in all
time. Therefore how can that testimony be forced upon they that apparently inherit(11) that way of existence?
They that
are specialists at non Bantu attributes(12) are enveloping Bantu into giving up their Bantuness for the illusions they are
offering us is an attribute of their version that has been aquired by the way of making less the version of te real bantu,
they initially stole it from.
As far as identifying(13) where problems bantu are facing come from, the answer lies in they
from Caucasian origin that thus go further to force on Bantu the illiteracy that they are white. Of course Bantu come with
an explosion or variety and infinate encapsulations. So that when lighter beings or perceptions of Bantu are born in us, we
encapsulate that, afterall they are Bantu, but bacause the process can not be recreated as in lighter making darker entity,
the lighter or collectively known as Caucasians don't neccesarily retain that then observance for a manifested variety of
Bantu, that exists within. The testimony for this is what is commonly known as genocide(14)or sysematical eradication of bantu
for their tones of skin or under this guise to aquire commonly referred to Bantu resources for collective consumption. Bantu
are a resourceful and thinking entity that lives and lets live, this is not very consistent with the illustrations documented
or experienced by the indigenous(15)or indeed the Bantu inhabiting the plain of the earth , since the migrations of Caucasians
or Europeans thereof.
So 2ban is not bitter, 2ban knows no black or white men and 2ban doesn't blame either black or white
man for any problem. Rather,2ban identifies that Caucasians and lighter complexioned entities need to wakr up to the fact
that the ways of Bantu, which is the sentiment(16) they are collectively trying to sell to the world, which incidentally is
bantu poulated is far from what we see them illustrate in the last 1000 years histor at a global scale. What 2ban is clearly
stating to Bantu is to take note, take issue and retain your Bantuness for that alone is sacred amongst the living. Rejecting
the ways of the civilised or thus those that identify as non-Bantu is obviously prudence to Bantu. That is my point. Remember
who you are.
14. There seems to be a connection between what you call Roots Hip Hop and Roots Reggae since they both
advocate for the empowerment of the black mans whats your view about that?
There is no connection between Roots Hip
Hop and roots reggae or any other presentation for that matter. every other genre of presentation advocates empowerment of
some kind or another. Roots Hip Hop advocates 'mind over matter', clear thinking as opposed toimpulse of action, wisdom as
opposed to power. Roots Hip hop is advocating the wisening of bantu and all of the dominions thereof affected by the affiliation
of bantu.
Also, if roots is to imply the deepestparts of regions, then also it must be understood that reggae is not born
of the deepest regions but is an illustration of the potential from the deepest regions, wherby all else is already considered
and catered for even within Roots Hip Hops depth of region.
